Support for Homeschooling Parents:
Truth, Goodness, Beauty, and Peace.
The Scholé Fellowship
Who We Are
The ScholĂ© Fellowship is part of a national network of ScholĂ© Communities, founded by Dr. Christopher Perrin of Classical Academic Press in 2014. Our community supports families committed to homeschooling classically. While our program is rooted in the good and great books, we are careful to preserve time for contemplation and conversation, so your days are free from the stress and frenzy often experienced with modern approaches to “classical education.”
What We Do
The ScholĂ© Fellowship is a one or two-day-per-week tutorial program for grades 1-12 that provides a complete and integrated scope and sequence for both community and home days. Using The Children’s Tradition, our days center on prayer, Scripture, poetry, history, Latin, the arts, nature study, and more. By focusing on fewer subjects, integration, review, and thoughtful pacing, we teach restfully and help families avoid feeling overwhelmed or burning out — so you can leave the planning to us and enjoy more time for praying, thinking, remembering, and speaking.
How We Do It
Education is the slow and thoughtful presentation of truth, goodness, and beauty through lived experiences, worthy books, and real things. A classical, Christian curriculum has as its goal relationship—to God, Man, and the Created World. Different from many classical programs, we actually do emphasize “what to think” because we believe it is a prerequisite for “how to think.” We desire to orient our students toward reality with Bible stories, poetry, fairy tales, history, mathematics, and the natural world—these are some of the what of the curriculum. Guided by time-tested books (we use John Senior’s list of 1,000 Good Books) and practiced in an atmosphere of true leisure, learning is not rushed or measured by how much is completed. Instead, we cultivate habits of attention and watch as wonder steadily grows into understanding through unhurried encounters and contemplation. While we do follow a meaningful scope and sequence, our aim is to shape minds and hearts, not through drilling information, but by filling students’ days with a rich feast of ideas and experiences.
Why We Do It
Our Vision for Every Graduate
How You Can Do It Too
Homeschooling is a counter-cultural choice, and we unapologetically hold to the belief that education is the responsibility of parents. We also understand the importance of having a Christian community of adults to help and support you in the important task of discipling the next generation. As a vital member of our fellowship, you are not abdicating the joy and blessing of homeschooling, or just dropping your child off for a day out, but you are a part of a harmonious approach between community and home. The Scholé Fellowship invites you to participate in the feast. Before long, your children will see, delight in, and love what you are seeing, delighting in, and loving. With our program supporting you in your efforts, prayerfully, “you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-30
Classical education should be rich, restful, and sustainable.
However, many parents feel the opposite.
I want there to be time to actually enjoy what we’re learning…not just cram information
It all just feels overwhelming.
I wasn’t educated this way. Can I possibly do this well?
With the right support, education can be a joy for you and your family.
What We Offer
Everything You Need for a Beautiful Year of Learning
Scholé Parent Testimonial
“Our family joined The ScholĂ© Fellowship seeking a community with strong academics rooted in a Biblical worldview, where our children would learn to articulate their knowledge and convictions in ways that glorify God. We found a place that fosters deep, God-centered contemplation and thoughtful analysis. The richness of their learning soon transformed our home life, leading to deeper conversations and growth for both our children and us as parents.”

“I could have never navigated highschool without the help of TSF. Having class schedules for every semester and real living books made learning fun and much easier to measure success. All our transcript needs were checked off in an integrated, classical, and restful way.”

“TSF was such a blessing to be a part of! Having children of different ages, TSF brought order and stability to our homeschooling journey, creating rhythms we could share as a family while also helping us stay on track from elementary to high school. Whether learning grammar and how to write compositions or U.S. History or completing a senior thesis, my boys received a top notch education that prepared them for their next steps, while also keeping a Biblical worldview at the center. Perhaps the greatest gift we received from our years at TSF was being part of a caring, supportive, and fun community. So thankful to have been a part of this special place!”

Jennifer Coker
Founder and Director of The Scholé Fellowship
Meet the Director
Jennifer Coker founded The Scholé Fellowship in 2018, amid an 11-year journey of homeschooling her three children through high school because she knew if she needed it, other families might need it too. She holds a B.S. in Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee and has completed the 3-year CiRCE Institute Apprenticeship. Jennifer has spent the last 15 years studying classical education and she is grateful for all the ways the Fellowship continues to form her own mind and soul.
